Threats From Development

On the 16^th of August 2023, I received a letter from the North Yorkshire Council informing me they have received an application for full planning permission for a residential development of 28 dwellings and associated infrastructure on the land that my house looks onto. The letter from the planning officer told me I had until the 6^th of September for the council to consider any comments I may wish to make in writing to them.

In this design, I enter the at times confusing world of planning applications to comprehend how best to object, to enable the survival of a wildflower meadow located in a conservation area from being turned into just another plain old housing estate that takes from the town to give to the developer's bank account.

Kitchen Garden Revolutions

This is my first land-based design using the forage framework. Here I take an element from the Kitchen Garden Design which I feel does not provide the returns I should be getting from the space it consumes in the front garden.
